XQ: The Super School Project
XQ challenged America to rethink high school. No big deal, right? The good news, America responded. Thousands of teams came together and submitted their ideas on how to build the Super Schools of the future. We were tasked with telling their stories.
The Movement
The Kit
Each team received this Super School tool kit to guide them through the challenge.
The Bus
In order to tell their stories, we had to meet the teams face to face. So we created The Super School Bus to tour the country. A custom built, converted school bus with an interactive iPad wall, voice broadcasting booth, edit bays and digital learning center. After all, if we were going to hit the road to meet these remarkable people, we had to do it in style. We also got some help from the talented designers Craig and Karl. They're kind of a big deal.
The Tour
This two year road trip started in Los Angeles and made its way to Washington DC with stops at both political conventions.
The Voices
Along the way, we met some pretty remarkable people. Teachers, parents, celebrities, neighbors and students all dedicated to the mission to rethink high school.
The 2016 Political Conventions
While the mission of the tour was to empower America to rethink high school, we made two stops at the conventions to remind the people making the decisions in Washington that education reform can't be ignored. So we blasted Cleveland and Philadelphia with a large OOH media buy.
The President
If you made it this far, thanks for your time. Here's one more cool thing about this project. Barrack Obama had nice things to say about it.
